TOTO Toilets Help Consumers Navigate the New Normal

The COVID-19 global pandemic has brought an unpredictability to people's lives. TOTO is leveraging its technology to help consumers navigate this New Normal.

Kaisen, or "perfection" is a societal principle that is the driving force behind the Japanese company Toto. Their newest toilet, the WELLNESS TOILET, uses advanced sensing technology to aid in consumer wellness.

Water Sense Technology

WaterSense-labeled plumbing fixtures are EPA-approved and can help save energy and water while providing the most reliable, safe and secure performance. ADA Compliant

Two-Piece and One-Piece Designs

Many who have traveled to Japan mention the efficiency and comfort of the Toto toilets that they use during their stay. Toto toilets are Japanese brands that feature an all-in-one design, integrating the bowl and tank. These toilets are easy to clean and can be placed into small spaces. They are also durable and can last for a long time.

Toto was formed in the early 70s by musicians who had done session work for several notable musicians. Keyboardist David Paich and drummers Steve Lukather and Jeff Porcaro as well as bassist Joseph Williams were all regular contributors to albums from Steely Dan [73], Seals and Crofts[74], Boz Scaggs[75], and Sonny and Cher.

Some of the members also have solo work. In 1978, Bobby Kimball released an album titled From the Inside. Steve Lukather released a second album called Luke. David Paich and Joe Porcaro also recorded an album with jazz piano player Miles Davis.

There's also an area that features the company's Washlet, 토토 꽁머니 which uses the power of water to wash and dry the user while making the toilet sound less embarrassing by using chirping birds.

Before beginning to form Toto members, such as bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro played on albums by famous artists such as Steely Dan Seals and Crofts Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. David Paich, the keyboardist, was a regular session musician for artists such as the Eagles, Larry Carlton and Quincy Jones.

In the years that followed Toto's first album, the band struggled to find success and went through a string of changes in members. Hungate eventually quit Toto to pursue an independent career as an artist in Nashville in 1980. His departure was due to the lack of time for his family and a rising drug addiction. The band's final success was contingent on Lukather and Steve Porcaro.

Following the release of Toto IV, the band began touring extensively. In 1985, Fergie Frederiksen's vocalist was dismissed for having a hard time blending with the rest. The following year, Toto recorded Fahrenheit, which was released in 1986.

The album was a musical departure for the group, incorporating elements of gospel and jazz. It wasn't a commercial success in North America, but did well in Japan. In 1987, Toto continued their tour and performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival. During this time, bassist David Hungate left the band to focus on his recording and production career. Steve Lukather, a guitarist/vocalist was his replacement.
